Sounds great! How do I request a booking?

Option 1: Search for availability by entering your check-in and check-out dates, or
Option 2: Email us at stayhomesearch@gmail.com and tell us the following: check-in date, check-out date and the number of guests. After we confirm availability, you can complete payment to reserve your booking.

How can I pay?

Once the dates you are interested in are available and confirmed by us, the next step is to reserve the rental, and this is accomplished by completing payment in full. The general payment methods that guests typically use are the following:

  • Cash (you may have a friend or relative in Montreal, who can make the transaction in person for you)
  • Interac e-Transfer, aka: Email money transfer (you must have a Canadian bank account to use this)
  • Paypal, credit card

What is the damage deposit?

We ask for a damage deposit of $500 ($1000 for stays of one month or longer) cash at check-in (Note: this is important, since the damage deposit is exchanged for the house keys). The damage deposit is 100% fully refunded at check-out, assuming no damages.

Can I order some food basics for check-in?

We also provide an optional “check-in food package” service. For $40 we would stock the fridge with a few basics:

  • 2L Orange juice
  • 2L Milk
  • Ground coffee
  • Sliced bread (white, if not specified)
  • Some fruit (varies depending on season)

Some guests find this option to be helpful after a long flight. If interested let us know and we can arrange for this.

How do I get the keys?

We will meet you to give you the keys. We are available by either emails or a text message/phone call away. We are on standby to help make your stay worry-free.

What is the cancellation policy?

Read the details below, so that there are no surprises for anyone. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Bookings cancelled at least 90 days before the start of the stay will receive an 100% refund.
  • Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.
  • Bookings cancelled less than 30 days before the start of the stay will receive no refund.

Cancellations must be made by 12:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time) on the appropriate day.

Examples

  1. For a 100% refund, cancellation must be made 90 full days prior to listing’s local check in time (or 3:00 PM if not specified) on the day of check in. For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancel 90 days before check in time.
  2. For a 50% refund, cancellation must be made 30 full days prior to listing’s local check in time (or 3:00 PM if not specified) on the day of check in. For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancel 30 days before check in time.
  3. If the guest cancels less than 30 days in advance, the nights not spent are not refunded.
  4. If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded.
